It’s a feeling many people experience at some point: knowing something isn’t quite right, but not knowing what to do about it. Feeling stuck can be frustrating, especially when you want to move forward but can’t seem to find a clear direction.

Often feeling stuck isn’t about a lack of options. Sometimes there are too many options, sometimes you just don't know what's the best option. Fundamentally it’s about a lack of clarity. When too many thoughts, emotions, or possibilities are present at once, it becomes difficult to see what actually matters.

Overthinking plays a large role in this. When you’re constantly trying to analyse every angle, you can end up going in circles. Instead of helping you see things clearly, things just get more confusing.

Emotional involvement can also make things harder. When something matters to you it’s natural to have strong feelings about it. But strong emotions can make it difficult to step back and see your situation more objectively.

Sometimes feeling stuck comes from wanting to be completely sure before making a decision. You get stuck in analysis paralysis and keep going over everything in your head, hoping for an answer that never quite arrives.

External factors can also contribute. Other people’s opinions, expectations, or actions can make it harder to trust your own judgment. This can leave you feeling unsure about what direction is actually right for you.

This is where guidance can help. Not by telling you what to do, but by helping you understand your situation more clearly. When you can see what’s influencing things, your options often become easier to recognise.

Guidance can provide perspective. It can highlight patterns, clarify what feels unclear, and bring attention to aspects of your situation that you may not have fully considered.

It also helps create space. When everything feels overwhelming, having a structured way to look at your situation can make it feel more manageable.

Feeling stuck is normal, but you can't stay stuck forever. There are plenty of ways to unstick yourself, like writing down what's important to you or what's pertinent to the situation, or tossing a coin to decide your next action. Asking questions of the pendulum or tarot cards is just another way to help you make a decision. When you understand your situation more clearly, your next step tends to become more obvious.

If you’re feeling stuck, it may not be that you don’t know what to do. It may be that you haven’t yet been able to see your situation clearly enough.

And that’s exactly where guidance can make a difference.
